Dinitrol 977 is a semi-transparent, waterbased liquid anti corrosion coating for the protection of cavity areas where a rust preventative surface is needed. The product is water-repellent and has very good penetrating properties. After drying remains a wax coating which has a good temperature resistance up to ca.+120 deg C and is almost tack free. When dried Dinitrol 977 is heated by sun or by engine-heat, it does not have the typical smell of conventional cavity-waxes.

Dinitrol 958 (DA5187) and Dinitrol 977 (DA1981) can be used together to form a comprehensive water borne corrosion protection system application. Rather than applying both products separately, we recommend a two-layer application method with Dinitrol 958 and Dinitrol 977. This unique combination is very effective on surfaces that are already corroded.
